Hungerford Primary School

Year 5 pupils have swimming lessons at Hungerford Leisure Centre in the summer term with the aim that all children can confidently swim 25 metres at the end of the course.  Any pupils who have not achieved this are given the opportunity of further sessions in the summer term in Year 6.

November 2022:  78% of the current Y6 cohort can swim 25 metres confidently. 84% can perform self-rescue in different water based situations. 84% can use a range of different strokes effectively.

November 2022:  72.72% of the current Y5 cohort can swim 25 meters confidently.
